In his career, he designed and restored churches, palaces, museums, farms and residences. Throughout his career, he developed projects that highlighted Brazilianness. An architect and sociologist, Hue became known as one of the country’s greatest experts in restoration, with projects in churches, museums, farms and residences. He also became a reference in furniture and interior design, in spaces such as the Jockey Club of Rio, Palácio do Planalto and, with Bernardo Figueiredo, the furniture for the Reception Hall of Palácio Itamaraty.
